John G. Phillips is Director of Sleep Services at American Sleep Center. John has more than 22 years of experience in the field and is registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT). He received training in Respiratory Care at the California College of Health Science and the School of EMS at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Phillips is a member of the Board of Registered Technologists (BRPT), the American Association for Sleep Technologists (AAST), the National Sleep Foundation (NSF), and the Iowa Sleep Society.

Michael McCubbin, M.D., is Board Certified by the American Board of Sleep Medicine, the American Board of Pediatrics, American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and the Pulmonology Sub-board, American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. McCubbin reads and interprets all studies and recommends treatment options to patients. He also collaborates with the patient’s primary care physician for follow up care.

We are located at 1250 NW 142nd Street, Suite 100 in Clive, Iowa.

Appointments are by physician referral. The hours for scheduling are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Conveniently located in the American Prosthetics & Orthotics (APO) facility. For more information, call American Sleep Center.

Hours of operation/Sleep Center times (ie sleep studies start at 9 p.m. and last until 7 a.m.)

Sleep studies are scheduled seven days a week.

Our Insurance Department will strive to help you understand your health benefits
relating to your sleep study. ASC is currently contracted with several major insurance companies. A few of these include Wellmark BC/BS of Iowa, United Healthcare, Medicare and Midlands Choice. We continue to increase the number of companies with which we contract.

Upon receiving a referral from your physician, ASC will contact your insurance company to verify your benefits. Before your sleep study is performed, we will discuss these benefits with you.
